Some love stories unfold slowly. Ours began with a few scattered conversations... most of which were about Ender’s pet frogs. (Avery is still afraid of them, for the record.) It may not have looked like the beginning of a love story—but somewhere between the frog facts and the late night replies, something real started to take shape. And once it did, we just kept showing up for each other.

Once things started to fall into place, they did so quickly. The connection was natural, the comfort came easily, and before long we were building something steady and real—without needing to overthink it. There wasn’t one defining moment, just a steady collection of quiet ones that made it clear we were exactly where we were supposed to be.

We approach things differently. Ender is the planner, the one who thinks ten steps ahead and has the backup plan already color-coded. Avery brings the calm, the steadiness, and the quiet kind of trust that things will unfold the way they’re meant to. Together, we’ve found a rhythm that feels like home: a mix of honesty, laughter, deep support, and a shared appreciation for the little things that make a life feel full.

When Ender proposed, it came after a slightly chaotic—but very lovingly orchestrated—effort with a couple of our closest friends. It wasn’t flashy or over-rehearsed, but it was full of heart. There was laughter, a few nerves, and that unmistakable feeling of knowing we were exactly where we were supposed to be. Avery said yes, and we haven’t looked back since.

We’re getting married in the fall simply because we both love it. The crisp air, the warm colors, the sense of everything settling into place... it just feels like us.

We’re incredibly grateful to be surrounded by the people who’ve supported us, laughed with us, and shown up for us. Thank you for being here as we celebrate this new chapter. It means more than we can say to share this day, this joy, and this moment with all of you.
